New Year, New Design Portfolio Presentation

Portfolio Changes for 2020
Making needed changes to how I present my work in time for New Years 2020.

This is a quick post to let everyone know I’m making some necessary changes to how my graphic design and digital art portfolio is presented on my website. One of the websites I had my main design portfolio on is closing down on December 31, 2019. This means having to try to figure out where I’m going to put everything.

I was looking for other options but I really wanted to use my own site instead. Why redirect somewhere else when I could just keep everything in one place? The only problem with that is I don’t have unlimited space on my website’s hosting server.

I had an imgur account and knew about the embedding option so I backed everything up from the old design portfolio site and put it on imgur. The image adding element in the website builder I use doesn’t have a way to add images from a link though. Thankfully I managed to find an excellent little snippet of responsive HTML code to use for embedding images with the custom HTML element. Now I’m in the process of making the switch. Bear with me as I work out some of the details.

It’s a change that had to be made suddenly but I think it’ll end up being for the best. Maybe it was the nudge I needed to start doing more with this website. Looking forward to adding more graphic design and digital art work and finding more creative ways to use my website in 2020!
