A Triumph in the Midst of a Struggle - My Third Design Award!

Finding out I won my third design award for the second year in a row is what kept me going through a difficult time in 2017.

Finding out I won my third design award for the second year in a row is what kept me going through a difficult time in 2017.

I Won Rose Gold at the Muse Creative Awards 2017!

So this year has had me going through one of the most stressful things I've ever had to deal with. I'm not going into any of the details but it did mean I had to put my hopes and dreams for the future on hold for a while. Luckily it ended well and I can work towards my goals again.

The thing that really kept me going during my struggles was that incredible email I got earlier this year with really great news...I won Rose Gold at the 2017 Muse Creative Awards for a wall art piece I designed called "Hawk Rising!" For two years in a row now, I've won awards for my design work! The others were honourable mentions for two poster designs again at the Muse Creative Awards in 2016.

It still blows my mind. I never though when I first started to take an interest in design. Haha, I used to think MS Paint was the best thing ever, haha! But it soon got left behind as I became more serious. I've come a long way since then and I look forward to seeing what new and exciting opportunities present themselves in the future!

I was in the company of some pretty big names among my fellow winners so it really is a huge honour! Rose Gold winners receive a statuette and Certificate which are both exquisite and I have some photos and an unboxing video to share with you! Here's greater detail about the 2017 Muse Creative Awards if you would like to know more about it.

More on my 2017 Muse Creative Award and what it means for recipients.

My Award Winning Artwork, "Hawk Rising."

Hawk Rising is one of my experimental pieces in which I tried to bridge the gap between fantasy and abstract art. For me, it represents rising above something that threatens to hold you back from accomplishing what it is you really want to do. It became an important piece for me as I’ve had some difficult things to deal with this year. Things that have shown me I’m a lot tougher then I thought I was.
